● TREKKING AROUND THE FIZ MASSIF

In front of the Mont Blanc Massif and just behind the Aiguilles Rouges, the Fiz Massif is one of those jewels of the nature that a few people know. It’s placed in the Passy Natural Reserve, it dominates the middle part of the Arve valley, and around this massif you can discover beautiful geological and botanic sites, as well as lakes and waterfalls with wonderful colors. Just a real natural paradise that is waiting for you.

1^st  day
Meeting in Chamonix Mont Blanc 1035m at 8.00 a.m. Equipment check, program presentation, and transfer by car to Plaine Joux 1337m (30 minutes). We’ll start our trekking from this extraordinary plateau walking towards Barmus, passing then by Ayères des Rocs, Ayères des Pierrières and the Col d’Anterne hut 2000m where we’ll make a short stop. From here we’ll go to Col d’Anterne 2257m and finally we’ll arrive to Alfred Wills hut 1807m. Time 4/5 hours – Height gain 920m
2^nd day
From the Alfred Wills hut 1807m we’ll go towards the Petit Col d’Anterne 2038m where we’ll pass from the pastures to steep slopes until we’ll get to des Fonts hut 1368m from where we can admire the Fonts circus. From here we’ll descend to Les Fressetts and then we’ll stop in the Sauffaz and Pleureuse waterfalls. We’ll finally pass by the Sales waterfalls and then we’ll arrive to the Sales hut 1870m. Time 5/6 hours – Height gain 1100m
3^rd day
From the Sales hut 1870m we’ll start to ascend until arrive to the “Passage du Dérochoir” 2220m and then to Col de la Portette 2354m, an extraordinary view point of the valley and the Mont Blanc Massif. From here we’ll face the last part of the day to arrive to the Désert de Platé, an unique site in Europe because of its geological conformation at this altitude. We’ll finally arrive to the Platé hut 2032m. Time 5/6 hours – Height gain 500m
4^th day
From the Platé hut 2032m we’ll leave towards the Tête du Colonney 2692, from where we can enjoy an amazing 360° landscape. Then we’ll descend to the Col du Colonney 2321m and the Col de Monthieu 2251m to finally arrive to Véran hut 1602m. Time 5/6 hours – Height 700m
5^th day
Last day in which we’ll start from the Véran hut 1602m descending first and then going up until arrive to Chalets de Varan 1600m. Then all way down to Charboniére 1407m and finally to Plaine Joux 1337m. Time 677 hours – Height 550m. Transfer to Chamonix Mont Blanc 

• This is an easy technical trekking except for one day where we have some stretches chains of medium/high difficulty. Journeys are not so long but it’s anyways necessary a good physical condition to face the trekking with guarantees
• Accommodation in huts with half board service during the trekking. Sleeping sac or sheet for nights spent in hut
• Packed lunch (brought from home or bought in loco)
