LA SPORTIVA FOOTWEAR - MK GUIDES REPORT

TRANGO ALP
I used in the past the first model and I must say that they definitely improved in their waterproof qualities, something essential for semi-crampon boots. I would say that this version covered the gaps that had the first model. They seemed to me a little bit stiffer, but they took their traditional comfort back after the first outings. Excellent for a mixed walking/climbing use and also good for glaciers in the summer because of their better snow outfit.
Carlo Gabasio

TRANGO S EVO
From the beginning of the summer I made all the excursions in high mountain with this climbing boot, and I felt really good.
Light, comfortable and enough waterproof (even also after hours of rotten snow); warm at the right point, thinking about the temperatures of the last summers, not really cold.
In rock climbing it showed a remarkable grip, good sensibility and flexibility.
With crampons (obviously new classic tie) very good performance, although the sole flexibility penalize you a little bit on steep ice.

On the whole, I like it so much!
MIURA VS

Finally, a performing climbing shoe, practical and enough comfortable.
I took them sizable (usually I wear a 42 and a half – I took the 43 and a half), but I’m not a super climber, so I look at the commodity and the possibility to wear them for a long time.
I use them on granite and limestone: extraordinary grip, precision leaning on, and great hook-up (great the plantar P3).
I’m really enthusiastic about them!

NEPAL TOP

Just the best for mountaineering. The “defect” of being not too warm makes them perfect for the normal routes in summer and also for approaches.
SANDSTONE Gtx/Xcr

A real discovery. They fit like a glove and the sole is excellent both for easy and demanding terrains, and also for gravel , and for rocky terrains. I used them for trekking and normal routes in Austria and Slovenia, preferring them to the classic high boots, and I must say that I felt great. Another add value is their excellent waterproof qualities

MIURA VS

I climbed for the whole summer and the autumn with the new Miura VS, the ones with velcro. The climbing shoes adapted in a few time to my feet as gloves, cancelling the empty sensation that I had in the point at the beginning.
My advice is to get them a bit hold (the first number you can wear), because they will adapt very quickly to your feet. The first time use them in the crags and then you can use them also in the multi pitch routes. It’s precise in the point and excellent in adherence. They are very valid for climbing on holds and small pits (style Finale) but they does not disdain the pure adherence of the granite slabs. For the laziest it will be very comfortable the velcro lace up, above all for the multi pitch routes. A special attention will be done in the purchase moment by who has a high instep: verify the velcro closes well, otherwise you risk to see how they fastener will unlaced when you are in push phase.

CROSSLITE

For all of you, who like me love to run along the mountain tracks, the new crosslite of La Sportiva is definitely made for us. I just tried this shoe and I must admit that the first impressions are very positive. For an instance it seems like you are Spiderman.
It fits like a glove (the number and a half bigger that I have chosen doesn’t avoid a good foot maintenance also on craggy terrains). The thing that impressed me more is the adherence on the rocks (the feeling is that of have small suction caps and the noise you hear when you are running confirms it). Where with the old shoes (I don’t tell you the brand) I slip up, with this model of La Sportiva I pass without problems. Let’s see now the usury resistance, but for the moment although the rugged terrains over I run, they seem also solidly built
Andrea Viano

TC PRO

I had the idea to use them to climb on granite routes, cracks and multi-pitch routes, but they became the surprise of the year. They are also fantastic for climbing in crags, specially on small footholds.

SPEEDSTER

They didn’t satisfied me completely because I cannot use them on small footholds and on slabs.

KATANA

Nothing to add. These climbing shoes are a guarantee. Extraordinary as usual

GANDALF

They are without doubt the best approaching shoes in the market. My mistake was to take them a bit too much precise, privileging the ascent as regards the return
